We bought a 1994 Hunter 26 and as I have worked through it all, I got to one of the last steps and realized what I thought was a boom is actually a 14ft mast. I think I can make it work if I can figure out how ti attach it to the mast, but that is going to be a challenge.

Does anyone have or know of a used H26 boom for sale?

There was a post on here last week about an H260 (same hull and rig) where a guy had filled the ballast tank with cement. That boat is ruined as a trailerable sailboat. Maybe you could offer to buy the person's rig and then you would have some spare parts.

Thanks for the idea! I am working on making a gooseneck to attach this boom that is a mast to the Hunter mast. It is quite the challenge. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Finding the appropriate ends for your boom will be the long pole in the tent. Once you have those the rest is pretty straight forward.

Hey guys. My efforts to make my own gooseneck for this mast worked, but I dont think it is very strong and it looks like hell. Any leads on a used Huner 26 or 269 boom?

Thanks. I hate to have to buy a new one if possible. Trying to make a gooseneck for this thing is killing me. I used some wood and all kids of aluminum and stainless with epoxy. It functions on the trailer, but I am worried about how strong it will be under a load.

Yeah... I get it.

It costs about $250 with shipping.

This guy salvages old sailboat for parts. Try giving him a call...

$250 + shipping sounds pretty good to me. You would gain a sense of security that is lacking with the adaptive repair.
