Last week I had a Direct TV satellite system installed at my house, in part so I could watch the Louis Vuitton competition on Outdoor Life Network. The programming guide said the beginning of round two was supposed to be on at 9:00 PM last night so I tuned in with anticipation. The only thing on OLN was a mess of gorgeous, scantily clad women lounging around a beach in some Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rerun. How disappointing. Gary Wyngarden S/V Shibumi H335

In between rounds

Last week, the LVC was in between rounds. Round 2 was to continue last night, but high winds cancelled the coverage. So they re-ran the last race between Oracle and One World. It was terrific even a second time around.

Indeed...

There is something about the curves, the graceful lines, the elegant movement, sheer smootheness and response -- to commend women over boats.

Its 6:00 pm on cable in Eastern, WA

In eastern Washington, they show it at 6:00 pm and they repeat it at 9:00 pm. If they cancel the race due to weather, at 6:00 pm they show a previous race and at 9:00 pm they show another program. Fair Winds, Clyde

Same thing this morning

Seattle Times says racing at 6:30 AM. Not!! Repeat of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit was fun to watch though. Sean

There seems to be some confusion with dates, international dateline stuff ya know. In any case tonights the night for round two. I've got an old c-band dish, so OLN isn't available to me. Instead I subscribe to virtual spectator. I get all the races in realtime and the 3D visuals are great.

differnt level of competition

With a relatively high level of coaxing and deal making, I can get the TV for the races. My wife even watches for a few minutes here and there. But it would be a whole differnt level of competition for swimsuit rights ... kind of like putting my O'Day 22 up against a Cup boat. This is one competition I'm smart enough to stay away from!
