Disconnected Wrong Part Maybe?
Did you disconnect the boat from the trailer when you lauched or did you disconnect the trailer from the car and the boat and trailer are still connected?

Don't laugh about the trailer!
Well, actually, do laugh. It actually happened. A power boater (in California I believe) actually motored up to a dock and asked the marina personnel to help with the fact that the boat didn't seem to be performing very well. They took one look and just about died laughing when they saw the trailer was still attached! (Don't mean to bash women, but yes, the boater was a woman).

Let the boat sail
Some say you gotta sail a boat, I say you gotta let the boat find its heart in full sheet, its soul in shrouded songs of cable and its listing slip shadow in a sunset. You cannot sail by merely moving a boat, you must feel the wind shift the keel and raise the bow, balance your body and mind with the boats reaction to currents and tides and find yourself one with the mystery of being able to go in any heading despite not because of the present preception or deception of wind.

Joe-Did you survive the Tornado?
Neat prose. A classmate, Bertha Bush and her husband, Jim, had their house destroyed in the tornado which went through Stockton. They moved to Nevada Missouri. I frequently drive through Pierce City Missouri. That town was destroyed in the same family of tornadoes. The destruction was incredible.

Home safe
Our home, in Fair Grove, south of Stockton Lake, was safe from the storms that wrecked Pierce City and Stockton.
