I suppose that I should know, since I have already bought my boat, but what do these things mean in the specifications? We bought out boat, new H33, because we simply loved it. Still do love our boat, but I can't help but wonder what does all that mean?

Sail Measurements

The letters I,J,P,E are sail measurements for ordering sails. See the attached link for the definitions.

h23 needs fixin'

In the boat information for the h23 on this Web site it lists the I as 26 feet and the P as 25 feet 8 inches. Seems to me, according to Trevor's drawing, that means the boom is just four inches above the deck. I don't remember ever tripping over the boom. Mac

Re: I,J, P,E

Bob, The "J" is measured from the front of the mast to the point where the headstay intersects the deck. The "I" is measured from the mast base to the 'hounds' (the point where the headstay attaches to the mast) Scott, you've got it right!!

Alan, "I" equals ??

Thanks for your response to my "J" measurement question. I think on your response, you meant to say that "I" = deck to the hounds?
