Since we haven't done all that much sailing this winter. Our docking techniques may need some work. Try the link below, but read the directions first. I ran across this article in Sailing magazine, I think. Allow for some play time. Try with no wind or current at first. http://mltsoftware.home.comcast.net/docksim/docksim.html

Now I know why they raised my insurance

I was thinking of going sailing this weekend. After trying the simulator, I think I may stay home this weekend or I know they will surely cancel my boat insurance!

Don't give up just yet

The boat in the simulator is a single-screw planing monohull with an I/O drive, so it won't behave like a typical sailboat. It's still fun though. Thanks for the link. Peter H23 "Raven"

wind or current

What seems to be the biggest influence on your docking ability, wind or current?

I wish my reverse was that responsive

That has to have a 150 horse engine to power it backwards that quick if it was based on a 34 ft boat

Maybe I should sell now !!

I just bought my first "bigger" boat ... a C27. Based on my simulator results (three and out), maybe I should sell her before I even launch. Might save me and the insurance company a lot of time. Tom Monroe Carlyle Lake
