So I order a Jockey Red Mainsail Cover from Sailboatowners.com and they have it prepatterned for my O'day 25 to the year and model. So number 1 I am being deprived of measuring my mast and probably screwing up the measurements and having a saggy fit on the cover. OK I can take them ruining my ability to screw up the order. It says when I order that there is a 12 day lead time for the sail cover to be made, that sounds reasonable. Only five days in my order update says it is finished and there is a tracking number for UPS. SO number 2 I am being cheated out of 9 days of waiting!!! I click on the UPS number last night and it shows that UPS has been notified of the pick up. My wife asks, how long until it gets here? I tell her that as we are in Georgia and it is shipping ground UPS from Washington, it will be here early next week. My wife gets home today before me and calls me to tell me the sail cover is on the back porch. So now I am lying to my wife about the length of shipping!!! All this efficiency is killing me. This is America, we are always made to wait and love it!

Damn nice sail cover too!

very funny.....got a good chuckle. Isn't great when things work out better than you expect? Now we know ordering here is worthwhile.

I concur

I ordered the handle to a new PHII, and it showed up well before I've had the time to install the head!

Stu:

Same experience here. You order the stuff and they give you a delivery date. It never gets there when they promise, it is always sooner.

What is even worse if they happen to screw up. They admit it and send you the right stuff.

These guys need to get a life! They act like it is the only thing they have to do.

ROTFL ..... same experience here too. With their 'offices' being on the LEFT coast one would normally expect a LONG delivery time to the RIGHT coast ... not so! Kudos to the SOB online store!

.. cos it actually goes over the boom? ;)

It's nice to hear about something that went well. Now I gotta go bug the admiral about getting to the Sailrite boom cover kit we bought in March.

We had a great day sailing. There was a ton of wind on the lake and huge gusts coming on top of the sustained wind. We were the only ones to raise sails. It is a great thing when you know how your boat willl handle wind reefed, We had some great upwind crossings and at times had to spill wind when the gusts hit hard.

Still digging the sail cover. The mast collar does not fit snug around the mast, should it?

I too ordered some stuff from them several years ago...the little beady-eyed maggots did not give me one reason to complain either...sheesh!
