These are all great ideas. If you're not going to use your boat for a period, try tying mono line between the fixed rigging, boom, and aft sections (anywhere they're likely to fly/approach to land). They don't like flying into line and will avoid your boat, in short time. We have mono tied across the top of our pool area in a random nature. Not even ducks will attempt to use the pool as a resting stop.

What device are you referring to? A nearby marina installed a box that blasts loud noises of some kind that supposedly would scare off the birds. We don't know if it worked though, it was so obnoxious all the people left
We've jokingly talked about wiring some shore power to zap the rig periodically. Probably easier to clean bird carcasses off the deck rather than their poop...

I hate birds too. West Marine sells a string of signal flags sewn to a nylon tape that can be run up the mast with the halyards. The cost is about $30.00. One string should do but if not two surly will. Tie them off either at the stern and/or foward at the bow. The flapping flags should keet the birds away and the boat will look nautical, good luck.
