Sailing always seemed like such an easy way to spend some time on the water. What a mistake in judgment that was! I tried it and went ok one way, but getting back was another thing. So I found a volunteer group in New Jersey, SEAS. They offered a 12 hour classroom and 16 hour on the water course for $35.00. Could I go wrong? Well that was back in 1976. I joined the group and was exposed to many types of boats and sailing experiences. It ended in 1994 when I moved aboard my Tartan 37 and sailed to the US Virgin Islands. I guess I did it right!!!!
