Well I finally dedided that it was time to get my own sailboat. So I picked up a nice 1995 26 and I couldn't be happier. So far I've only sailed it down the highway but that will change shortly. I know we'll be the biggest boat in a couple of lakes around here. Now I just need to come up with a new name and I'll be all set. Jason

She's quite a beauty!! How about "At Long Last" for her name. Good winds, Tom

Haven't Decided

Not Bad. Currently it's named Victoria's Secret. Looks kinda strange for a guy to be launching a boat named that without a group of supermodels.

You'll Have To Work On That!

Jason - you're right. That's something you'll have to work on! (the crew, that is) We had our boat for about 10 years without a name and everybody threatened to call her "No Name". Well, actually, they wern't threatening, many people were calling her No Name.

Talk about a Panic Attack

Oh man I saw that subject line and almost freaked out. The guy that owned it before me had custom stripes put on it with the name they had. We took the name off it and are going to rename it as the old name didn't fit me. Jason

Glad to energize your evening

I think I am the only person on HOW that gives a hoot about that silly squiggle. I don't know why, just some kind of aesthetic obsession. I owned an H26 about 7 years ago and really enjoyed it. My wife and I developed a lot of confidence with it. My son rolled over for the first time on it (not intentionally). Overall, there are not a lot of problems regularly associated with the H26. Mostly people want to upgrade it and its big enough do make a lot of upgrades. Good luck! Markdb Ex S/V Proposal

Welcome to the group

Jason, congratulations on the boat. You have done a substantial amount of questioning before taking the leap, and you're still on track. Stick with the forum, and you will continue to get good advise, not only from the old heads like Seamons, Meheringer and Crazy Dave, but also an occaisional nuggett from newer owners. Steve Kamp, H260 "Carolina Girl"
