Not this LA, Phil. I get out just about every weekend I can between 5/1 and 12/1. That is more than just about every non LA around here. Add a 2 1/2 week cruise on top of that.

Sailboat passages to Vermont ... done all the time ... Hudson River to Champlain Locks to Lake Champlain. Or St. Lawrence River to Richelieu River to Lake Champlain.

Whitehall, NY which is adjacent to Vermont across the locks at the southern end of the lake is the birthplace of the US Navy. The water route to Vermont has been known for 4 centuries!
