Two audio sources can be connected to a single speaker with a DPDT. Wire the speaker to the "center" and each source to the "ends" (there are 6 terminals on this switch) Polarity does not matter.
I'm thinking with FCC rule 15 (shall accept all interference....) you would just be able to wire both to the speaker and just make sure only one is on at a time. It is not like you are blasting out a Greatfull Dead concert on the thing. Perhaps they would both work at the same time with that set up????
I'm thinking this is a bad idea as you have your fog horn going and are not able to monitor VHF....... clearly accepting some risk with that kind of set up.
