The first is a SP3T rotary Switch (on-on-on) and the second is to have two sources (VHF and antomatic fog horn) conected to one speaker. Where can I find these switches? thanks,

I searched google for: 'SP3T Rotary Switch' and found a bunch of hits, like this one:

Not sure about the proper way to connect 2 audio sources to one speaker. I would guess care needs to be taken so one does not backfeed into the other, potentially causing damage. Unless you meant either/or - then a DPDT switch would do it and that can be gotten from Radio Shack.

But I must add, Radio Shack quality is generally not very good these days.

Two audio sources can be connected to a single speaker with a DPDT. Wire the speaker to the "center" and each source to the "ends" (there are 6 terminals on this switch) Polarity does not matter.
I'm thinking with FCC rule 15 (shall accept all interference....) you would just be able to wire both to the speaker and just make sure only one is on at a time. It is not like you are blasting out a Greatfull Dead concert on the thing. Perhaps they would both work at the same time with that set up????

I'm thinking this is a bad idea as you have your fog horn going and are not able to monitor VHF....... clearly accepting some risk with that kind of set up.

Bill - Thanks for your recommendation. The fog horn/VHF speaker is below the radar antenna half way up the mast. I have a remote mic and a the main VHF inside along with a couple of handhelds.

Ken - I found the Amazon switch but it has off-on-on-on instead of on-on-on. One of my devices has to be on all the time.

I have dealings with digikey before and they are good if you know what you want. In my case is not all that clear..... although I have narrowed it down to the SP3T rotary switch.

Radio Shack is not what is use to be...... they try to sell you what is in the store and like digikey you have to know what you are lookng for.

Bob - Blue Seas does not have rotary switches.

So you're looking for a 3 position 6 blade toggle switch for the first one, and a 4 blade toggle for the second?
Toggle Switches
You might be able to find something in there that would suit your needs.

The first is a SP3T rotary Switch (on-on-on) and the second is to have two sources (VHF and antomatic fog horn) conected to one speaker. Where can I find these switches? thanks,
