Great choice in a cruiser. Wife and I have viewed this boat as our favorite Beneteau. We currently have a Catalina 34. The comfort factor of the 373 cabin layout, especially the larger shower/bath, win our vote. Enjoy your new sailboat!

Well, its a done deal. We delivered the contract the day after Thanksgiving ((GULP)) Thank you for all the advice. I hope all goes well. Happy sailing! One last question. Has anyone taken any sailing courses in Florida? I am setting aside one week in April to get my ASA 1... Thank you all

Congrats Roy, enjoy the boat. We love ours, have sailed it for two seasons on Lake Ontario. Happy to give you any ongoing help you need. I have taken courses at 3 schools in Florida: Basic Keelboat at Off Shore Sailing (Colgate) at Captiva Island was a beautiful setting, very sedate sailing on protected Pine Island Sound and good quality instruction on a Hunter 40. J World out of Key West was a five day live aboard, also on a Hunter 40. More challenging conditions in Hawk Channel. Instruction also high quality. Best course was with Blue Water out of Ft Lauderdale including back and forth across the Gulf Stream to Bahamas. Please bear in mind that ASA and US Sailing certifications are not cross-compatible, and if you start with one school, you pretty much have to finish with it. This is really stupid, but the way it is.
