Hypothetically Speaking, if you loose your boat pole . . .

over the edge while frantically trying to fend off another boat because you dragged anchor in the howling wind and driving rain, and your anchor line is foiled on their mooring, and the Admiral is yelling, and at one point your foot is on your toe rail and theirs while their mooring ball is keeping you from hitting.

Hypothetically speaking . . . if you WERE dumb enough to get into this situation but you still needed a boat pole to pick up a mooring at the next destination and the only things available were a whisker pole, some cheap Walmart rope and a box of tools, what you do?

And then there was the day my engine pump failed and I had to sail back in a light wind and I made a whisker pole out of the boat hook
