Is anyone using a hydrofoil on the outboard motor on their sailboat? My O'Day 25 tends to have the stern dig down into the water under power and I'm wondering if a hydrofoil on my 9.9 Evinrude would help. I have used a Stingray hydrofoil in the past on a ski boat with a 90HP motor and it worked very well. Any thoughts?

with the adjusters, you shouldn't need foils on a boat that goes less than walkin' speed. They won't work, anyway. Good on a planing dinghy though.

I would think Lower

I would think the engine should be set / tilted lower so that the thrust is forward and up at the stern. Stu is right about not moving fast enough fot the fin to do much of anything.
