I've had an opportunity to spend some time looking over a new 26X. One issue I have is the steering cable intrudes into the rear berthing area. The dealer says it can't be repositioned or it will bind. Has anyone converted to a hydraulic system? This would allow the lines to be run topside, under that channel that covers the other control cables. I noticed that looking up from the berth, I could actually see the steering console! Since it wasn't sealed topside, I can see this as a source of leaks when water is present in the cockpit. If anyone has suggestions or has resolved the issue one way or another, I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks Erik
