Last fall we had a hydro lock after a beam reach in and out, my engine would not start. Managed to get water out by using compression lever after which engine only ran on two cylinders for 5-10 min. Had one mechnic look at it. His comments were that the only way it could of happened was via the vented loop, following sea, or bad impeller. I changed loop, injector, and impeller looked good but was due to be changed anyway, and we did not have following sea. Over winter my yard wanted to do $2500 valve job I am still up in air about that because after engine warms up it runs fine (32 miles from yard to dock this spring) My big question is, I am apprehensive about shutting the engine off and getting stuck out on Lake Mich. and having to be towed in again. Any thought or ideas would be great. Jim Miles
