Hold on and batten your hatches. A #2 can cause a big surge and 100 mph winds are severe. Good luck if you are in the path.

It came through here. It huffed, and it puffed. We ate dinner and went to bed, ho hum..

I went down yesterday and took the Magma cover off of the grill. It somewhat made me feel like I did something, as the boat stays well tied anyway. I had a mate head south the day before even. I'm not sure whether we are apathetic over the things or something, but maybe that's beach living. Cat 4's? Lookout, lookout..

I enjoy watching the landfall last PM. Not so much for the drama - either real or created - but to see how a counterclockwise rotating storm in the bite south of Cape Hatteras throws a brutal East wind up on the beaches on the OBX. It's no wonder so many ships have been blown to their demise there.

All I know is if you see Jim Cantori from the Weather Channel walk by, you're in the wrong place.

We had flooding rain most of the afternoon. No wind to speak of. We're not forecasted to get much wind. Maybe a spanking NW cold front breeze tomorrow but maybe not even that.
