For all you sailors with trailerable sailboats on the east coast, you may want to seriously consider removing your boats from the water as this is a major hurricane. If not, please keep a vigilant eye on the track of the storm. REMEMBER THE EAST COAST HAS BEEN SOAKED BY RAIN FOR THE PAST WEEK AND IF THAT STORM COMES IN, MAJOR FLOODING WILL OCCUR. PLEASE KEEP A WATCHFUL EYE OUT.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I dodged a bullet this time. I removed my boat last week. Because of this I missed several coastal floods where I keep my boat. I am also sitting in a nice place should a hurricane come through.

Too bad I removed it because it is the end of my season for this year. I cut a trip short due to the weather and a sinus infection.

Seriously, even though the track is changing, keep an eye for a surge. Dave is right.

Dave that is timely advise considering the worst hurricanes seem to come through in October. Being ready all the time in the fall is probably the most prudent thing a boat owner can do. Best of luck on the remainder of the season and best wishes for my friends down south with all the flooding.

As a dealer sometimes with the larger boats still in the water as all spaces in the yards were full, I had to take care of the boats even those I anchored out. I have said it is better to safe than sorry.

Our home has only a leak in the roof. I'll be spending today helping a neighbor two blocks away who lost everything to flooding. So sad.

This has been the year from hell for the good people in S.C. I do hope that aid will be forth coming quickly. Good to hear you made out with minimal problems. Having everything you work so hard for destroyed by freakish weather is truly something I hope I never experience. Makes me glad that the worst I might see is a ridiculous amount of snow.

Here is what we did yesterday. This is NOT my house. This is literally 2 blocks from me.
