Hi I am just in the process of purchasing a hunter legend 260i can anyone tell me the difference between a hunter 260 and the 260i, I am now quite worried that I can find no details on the 260i fixed keel hunter legend 260i I would be grateful for your email to docs27@btinternet.com before I go ahead and purchase. I live in Northern Ireland which is probably the Great Britain market. regards Liz

You indicate fixed keel?

To my knowledge, here in the States, a 260 is a water-ballasted boat. That may be the difference. I would contact your Legend dealer to be sure. BTW, I believe that Hunters are called "Legends" over there.

Isn't the 270

basically the 260 with a fixed keel and diesel inboard? Perhaps that's what you are looking at and they denote that as the 260i in europe (i for inboard?) Does it have inboard or outboard? In the US, 260 is outboard, 270 is inboard.

Don?

Don, look at the photo in the Boat Info section. The 270 does look different from the 260.(Size, etc).

Disagree Paul...

Not sure what models you are looking at. The specs for the 270 and 260 are the exact same: 26/3, 23/3, 8/11. The pics are the same boat and guy at the wheel, just from different sides. And, it's been discussed here before. What am I missing?

Same Boat Same Pictures

This is amusing! It looks like the same picture with the negative flipped and the outboard wiped out in a 'photo-shop' exercise, Look at the cloud pattern over the operator's head.
