Uk or Europe would be ideal, but also willing to bring one back from further away.A lot of adds say things are for sale, but once you contact people, they have been sold, but the ad was never pulled.

Thank for all the good info, Im having to drop looking outside of the EEC. as theres 20% Vat payable on importation back to the uk.I was under the impression, that because they were built and all sold from Sweden, this would not apply, So the hunt is on within the EEC only.Thanks Steve for the good info.please keep EU links coming.

Hi Al, Why not consider Sweden, The home of Vegas ?.Currently on a general website there are four for sale ranging from £2,600  to 5,100 and there are certain to be more in the next months coming up to Spring.For a sample go into WWW:blocket.se and type in Albin Vega in the first box and make sure it says hela Sverige in the last.If anything takes your fancy let me know and I will translate the  whole ad

Buying
a Vega which is in Sweden

 
When these boats were originally purchased Sweden was not in the EU. 
I have bought such a boat and HMRC  requires you to get certain
documentation to prove the purchase history of the boat to escape paying
VAT.  If you are an RYA member their legal department publishes the
required information.  If you need more help I will dig out the necessary
information.

Yesterday I saw one for sale on South Florida Craigslist for $100.00. It is at the St Petersburg Municipal Marina. Person selling it is Ricky and his number is 727-895-4481. I would buy and salvage parts myself but do not have the time right now, needs to be moved quickly...Sent from my iPad
