Can anyone give me details of what we in South Africa know as a HUNTER 19? I have been told that it first came to this country as a SQUIB, but was changed to suit local conditions. We have over 30 of these yachts on our moorings as it forms the mainstay of our club racing fleet. Any info will be appreciated. Dave

UK Hunter?
While the US brand Hunter built a 19 footer in 1981-83, and again in 1993-96, there's a sailboat brand in the UK that is also known as Hunter. US Hunter is known in the UK as Legend. It seems possible that what you have is the UK Hunter, assuming that trade is easier between UK and SA than it is from US to SA. You might check the boats and see if they state where they were built. ph.
