I've had my 1988 Hunter 35 since 1999. Over these many years I have made several major repairs to the boat.
One of the items that I have felt proud of the Hunter boat works was the fact that they had inlaid several (many) sheets of aluminum in the fiberglass decking for bedding quality bolts for hold down.
This really helped when I added a new main sheet traveler and several new winches.
Has anybody had any experience with the area around the front (fwd) section of the steering pedestal on the Hunter 35 series ??
I would think that they had an aluminum plate under pedestal as it is held down with 4 large machine bolts that this sheet might be a bit larger that the base of the pedestal .
I would like to put an eye bolt in that area for a sheeting pulley.
Appreciate any comments from the Hunter sailors.

Related to this same question is (?) if anyone has seen a Hunter technical drawings of the placement of these metal sheets in the top cap.??

Sounds like you're trying to change the mid boom sheeting to end boom sheeting. This was done on some (10) '92 Legend 35.5 Omega Cup boats. You will need a traveler at this location if you plan to do this. It's a great idea but the downside is you need to step over the traveler which will slightly restrict movement in the cockpit. If you do much single-handing this would be a terrific advantage.
