I have a 2002 Hunter 306. There is a switch on the breaker box for Steaming Lights. No light comes on when the switch is activated. The only light on the mast is the Anchor Light. Can anyone tell me where the Steaming Light is located?

Your masthead light should be about 1/2 way up the mast facing the bow. It is a white light which should shine 112.5 degrees to the port side and 112.5 degrees to starboard side. This light should be on when you are motoring at night. This light is also know as a "steaming" light. It may be in the same fixture as you deck light. Perhaps the buld is burned out.

Raysco, The 306's I've seen have both the Steaming Light and Anchor Light in a single assembly located at the mast head. You can unscrew the wood trim at the top of the compression post to access a terminal block in the headliner where you can check for power to both lamps prior to going up the mast. Hope this helps.
