I received a mailing from "First Warranty Group" claiming to be the company that Hunter used this year to offer a 5 year extended warranty on all boat mechanical ssystems. Hunter's advertisment (which they enclosed) called it a "5 year Stem to Stern Warranty". Apparently, Hunter gave them the info to offer it to older boat owners (I have an H410 launched 5/3/03) The warranty covers most systems inside the boat and all dealer installed electronics, including the starter & alternator, HAVC, refrig., etc. Of course there are a few exclusions, such as the engine itself, but it sounds interesting. While not cheap, the quoted price is enough to get me to consider it. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this company or the warranty?
