Hi, I'm shopping for a new boat and wondering if there a list of the years the different models were built. We are looking in the 35 to 40 foot range for extended cruising in the Keys and the BVI.

I'm not aware of any list, but if you go to the Hunter Marine web site, click on Our Fleet and then Previous Models you can see the year range for most but not all of their non-current models. The Sailboat Data web site is another good resource if you know what model you want to find info for. Anything else will probably have to be culled via lots of various searches.. here, SailNet, Google, etc..

Cheers,
Brad

If you click on the " Boat Info " tab at the top of this page, then " Hunter Boat Info ". It lists all the models produced by Hunter. Click on a length and the Specifications will tell you years produced and specs for that model.

Scott,
I checked out your albums. Very nice photography. Derfus, I check yours out, too. You must have been on a very tall mast to get the photograph of the biplane from above. ;-) Great shot!

Thanks, that T-storm had us a little nervous as it came out of nowhere and we were hours from land. Wind went from NW 15 to E 35 in no time.

This is my Photobucket album if you wish to see more.

Nothing wrong with "Older Models"... I've had mine for 33 years!

I wonder what could possibly be wrong with the 'older models'. In my estimation the first-gen Hunters far exceed the later ones in terms of looks, speed, handling and a proportionate resale value (given good condition and devoted ownership).

Then again I may be just biased :)

John you may well be biased but having out dialed newer bigger boats in my 30 I am inclined to agree. I wish I could claim it was the wonderful sail handling etc but I am a very green sailor so the boat gets the credit.
