For the second year in a row the rendezvous on July 25,26,27 is in jeopardy of not happening. Last year it was canceled two weeks before the event after sending in my money.
I got an e-mail on 4/18/14 talking about the rendezvous in July. It is open to all boat types, and Cruising Yachts would send more info. I did not received any additional info so yesterday I called Ian Van Tuyl Cruising Yachts San Diego to find out what was up. He told me that there was very little interest and wasn't sure if it would happen this year.
In years past this was run by the Marina Del Rey office and was just for Hunters and we always had a great turn out. I would think the addition of Jeanneau and all of their other customers we could have a great turn out.
I just wanted to check with our boating community to see if you were aware of the event. BC had 80 boats at their event and Cruising Yachts San Francisco has a sign up sheet for their August rendezvous. I have inclosed Ian's e-mail so if you would like to respond. Ianvt@cruisingyachts.net
