Hunter Quest?

I've recently found a Hunter for sale that I'm interested in but don't know much about it. It's a 1985 Hunter Quest. I'm told it's a kit boat built at the Hunter factory. Can anyone tell me anything about this model of boat? When I look at the Hunter models it doesn't look like they built any Hunter 30 between 1984-87. Is this right?Thanks for your help

Does the boat look like the older 30's?Maybe it was registered upon completion date rather than manufacture?

The Hunter/Quest boats were custom made in Rhode Island. They were built on Hunter hulls.

Thanks for the information about them being built in Rhode Island. Is there anything more you can tell me about their performance or where I could find out more information? How do they generally compare in price compared to other Hunters?

I don't know all the specifics but the boats were built on Hunter hulls and finished to the specifications of the buyer. One that I looked at was built on a 36' hull, that had been stiffened. It wasn't extravagantly finished, it was made to sail. The price was compares to similar Hunters but that would vary acording to how it was equipped and finished.
