we have a hunter quest 36, it is a great boat and with the exception of needing to pack the chain plates cutouts with goo, we have had very little trouble. Trying to get a thread going on this boat. The line we hear is that there are only a dozen or so of them, which is sad. Let Hunter Quest owners unite!

I'm confused. If it's a Cherubini/Hunter, how can it be made up by Palmer Johnson? Was "Quest" an upgrade? Offered by Hunter and executed by others? Whisperer looks to be a beautiful boat, and I too would love to see more pix....interiors as well. Dave ('81 H37C)

long unclear story
it seems that Quest a florida company bought the molds and rights from Hunter, probably in 83 and tried to make a go with high end hulls. They went broke and some of the hulls where sold to "other"s and since PJ wound up with ours it seems reasonable to assume they just bought them. Its hard to explain at the dock, but its basically all in the survey.

Hunter 33 had a slope nose cabin.
We have one of the Hunter 33 kit boats in our harbor. The only difference that I have noticed is the cabin is not a trunk but a slope trunk.
