I recently acquired a 1996 hunter passage 42 and was looking at replacing the aftermarket inverter that the boat came with to a Victron 3000 watt inverter charger. The boat has 2 30 amp power cable inputs one for A channel and one for B. When I bought the boat the inverter was powered only from the batteries as it has no pass through while on the 30 amp only supply at the marina I used the switch on the main power panel to parallel A and B together this did run both AC systems without tripping any breakers. But with going to the new Victron unit should I get the Victron II plus 2x 120 and connect each 30 amp input cable separately to each one of the 2 AC in but these would not have a line 2. Which I believe is OK but I am not sure about what would happen when I turn on the parallel switch I could have AC 1 out to the A input and AC out 2 to the B circuit this would only be active when connected to shore power and then A and B would not have to run in parallel. Just wondering if anyone has done anything like this before.
