Hunter h26 Portland, Or
We recently bought a 1995 H26 and are wondering if there is a Hunter owners group hereabouts. We like to cruise, and are still learning this boat; having graduated through a 14' C-lark, a 20' ranger, and a 26' Macgregor. We would enjoy hearing from any Hunter owners or anyone having information about generic cruising groups around Portland that might welcome some company.

Sincerely,

Mike and Stephanie Schoap

Portland, OR Hunter Association

We were members for a few years, but never seemed to have time for the outings (we are still trying to get all our friends and family on the water first). I know some of the members and they are great people. They have trips up and down the Columbia, so you'd gain a lot of local knowledge about the area if you arean't already familiar. I think they have around four excursions per season, plus some impromptu and non-sailing get-togethers. The local Hunter brokerage also supports their endeavors.

Hi, my wife and I have been members of Hunter Sailing Association of Oregon for several years. It is a great group of people. We do monthly cruises April through October to various marine parks and other locations up and down the Columbia River and Multnoma Channel. This weekend, Aug 20-22, we are at Sand Island in St Helens for our annual HSAO Rendezvous and Regatta. So far we have 21 boats coming and it promises to be a great weekend.

On the "off months", November through March (except December), we have monthly get-togethers where we either have a speaker or other presentation related to Hunters or sailing in general, or a party, such as our annual "Love Your Boat" party in February.

I would highly recommend joining the group as a great way to get to know some really fine folks and have fun cruising the Columbia with friends.
