Somebody posted a question about a Vision 32 mast the other day re: repair. No direct answer to his question but it has raised another question in my mind. I have a 28.5 and since the mast maker is out of business , how easy would it be to purchase a new mast and what would be the cost? Hunter has been very agressive in installing esoteric rigs but how good are they in providing support for these new rigs as time goes by. Just curious. Is this a reason to think twice about buying a HUnter?

From personal experience, having dumpted two rigs, a Catalina 30 and an O'Day 27, I can tell you that neither got the same manufacturer's mast section back. Lots of mast makers sections will work on multiple applications. BTW, I am not aware the V32 mast maker is out of business. Are you sure? Having owned a V32 for almost ten years, I can say I would look favorably on a free-standing mast again. Especially after dumping two conventional. Rick D.
