I have a 37.5 Legend, which came from the factory eqipped with a flexible solar panel mounted to the top of the cabin. It no longer works and I am considering replacements. Are there any owners out there with similar arrangements. If so, what did you do with yours? Replace it? Remove it?

Hello Jon.
So you probably have a Sovonic MA-21 panel. I too am looking to replace mine as well as add additional panels. I'll be watching this thread carefully to see what others recommend.

PS, let me know if you want a copy of the documentation I received from Hunter Marine regarding the original panel. Also the Sovonic company recently filed BK protection.

Another Option...

If you go to the boat knowledge base for the H410, you wil find a poster who mounted a hard solar panel over top of the flexible one to solve the same problem you have.

I am dealing with the same issue at the moment.........so I have phoned and searched hi and low and i even called hunter....I cannot find the exact fit....
so I figure it was just to charge the starting battery and there are alot of other solar options to charge the batterys.............
what I have done is elliminate the panel and I am filling the hole in with FG and wood...............

I have seen other fill in the area with dark plastic which is cool........

good luck

Thanks to everyone for the quick and helpful replies. Not sure what I will do, but will likely try to remove the deck cover over the lines to check the wiring. In all honesty, I hope to install fixed panels over the bimini, so perhaps the real question is how to finish off the deck space left by the existing panel and frame.
