Hunter Legend 37 -manual pump?

I'm sure someone will correct me on this, but I do not believe Hunter equipped its later model boats with manual bilge pumps as standard equipment. Manual bilge pumps usually are associated with a list of off shore modifications including, but not limited to, sails, tankage, rigging, lee cloth berths, jack lines, life rafts, etc.
Our 1991 P42 did not come equipped with a manual bilge pump, but I have considered the idea. Our cruising grounds cover PNW protected waters which places us pretty close to land most of the time. If we were to sail off shore I would certainly equip the boat with one.

Our first sailboat, a 1989 H28 that we purchased in 2000, had a manual bilge pump installed by the PO that I never knew was there. When we sold the boat, during the survey, the surveyor found the pump, but discovered that the diaphragm was split open. Just goes to show you.

I bought Serene Zelda in 1997 and it is the same boat you have. Mine has a manual pump installed under the starboard side setee in the main salon right beside location of electric bilge pump and the handle is stored under setee lid beside the pump. The pump is mounted to the vertical panel under front of setee such that you simply insert handle into its hole and pump away. It looks so professional that I always assumed it was an original factory item. If not, would be easy to do. I also have 2 of the long vertical manual pumps as emergency back-ups in various lockers elsewhere.
