Good luck waiting on an email response

Catalina Yachts isn't a big proponent of the internet. So don't hold your breath waiting for an email response. You'll likely never get one. Only way to get a guaranteed response is to use the telephone. Fax may work . . . at least if you are placing an order with the parts dept.

Catalina Spoke ! Tom FYI

I in fact did get a reply from Catalina and it stated that they do NOT put a "CE" plaque on there boats, unless it is going to Europe. However it could be purchased at additional cost! I believe this is the same policy as Hunter Marine! Hope this clears up any misconceptions !

This confirms our suspicion!

Pete: Good work. This confirms that Catalina's, like Hunter's are in fact NOT "CE" certified. They are only built to CE standards. Adding the placard would in fact NOT make them a CE certified boat. The electrical system and propane system would need to be modified at a minimum.

You got a response from Catalina

Like Mark said, "you got a response to email !" I have found out in the past that is not the most effective way of getting an information from Catalina. The "real" and only certifiable answer is to call and ask for Gerry Douglas. I would not take any thing else as gospel.
