Hunter help!!!! Pin track question for an H23

Really hoping someone can lend expertise, as this is one of the last parts I need to repair or replace before I get our "new to us" 85 Hunter 23 to the water this season.

I have a slider on the pin track which is broken, and no longer has the spring-loaded knob so that we can adjust the position on the track. I am new to the Hunter and this is the largest boat I've owned, so I will be honest in saying I am not 100% sure what exactly I need them for, but if it is possible I'd like to fix this.

I have attached a few pics. One is the complete assembly on our boat, one is the "good" slider, and the other shows the broken piece. Can anyone tell me who makes this pin track, where I might find parts, and how critical it is to have it functional if I am just sailing around in a small local lake?

Those stops keep the sheet traveler in a specific position, such as centered or to one side. The shop on this site is a good place for parts, so they may have one. I believe you will have to remove the track to slide a new one on, and that involves getting in the cabin to use a wrench while someone else uses a screwdriver on the track. Not too hard (a bit tedious). If you do this, use a good caulk like Boatlife LifeCalk (in other words, not simple silicone caulk from the hardware store), or maybe butyl rubber. Iused LifeCalk and it works well.

Also, look in Boat Info, Hunter Owner Modifications for the 23 and scroll down to the couple of posts on traveler mods. I did what Peter Suah posted, and like it much (much) better than the stock setup, as I can now easily adjust the traveler position even under load, and it doesn't slap back and forth as it did when I used the stops to center it. There is another mod in there that could be done without removing the track, though you lose the ability to lean on the seat back with that one.
