I will admit right off the bat that I have only stepped my mast twice so my memory is bad. The one question I have to more experienced Edge owners is...just how far back is the mast supposed to lean? I have to lean mine so far back that the bottom of the mast does not rest on the tabernacle. The forestay with autofurling foil is so slack that I have to lean the mast that far back to tighten it. There is NO adjustable turnbuckle. Anybody have any ideas? I called the Hunter tech support line and got a message saying that non warranty issues will get a call back when they have time. Nice!

To be honest I'm not real familiar with motor/sailors. But from what I can see of the rig it's a single spreader setup with no backstay and heavily swept spreaders. This means that the amount of forestay sag is controlled by the tension in the shrouds.
I would measure the amount of mast rake you are seeing on your rig. I have a hard time believing that there is no adjustment for forestay length. Maybe the turnbuckle is covered by the furler(not an uncommon thing)

Thanks for the post. I do remember last fall it being raked back quite a bit. The factory photos show that as well. Unfortunately there is no specs for this rake distance in the manual and there is no practical way to disassemble the furling drum. The shrouds do tighten the forestay when they are tensioned and that seems to solve it (I wish my memory of what it looked like last summer was better). It just seems strange to me that it would be part of the design that the base of the mast would not meet squarly on the tabernacle.
