Hunter e33 - Issues and Concerns

This thread has been started to compile various issues or concerns you may have for the new 2012 (e)33.

Thanks for starting this up.

Up till this point all my issues have been Yanmar related. Starter solenoid burned up after being left engaged due to a faulty engine control switch. Now that that's fixed I have a slight engine oil leak that's being tended to.

I'll post the findings from Yanmar service as to what the issue is.

We had the same problem, started the engine and was about to leave the dock when I smelt electrical burning. Solenoid was "red hot". My wife pressed the stop button. Both the stop and start buttons appeared fused into the control panel and were replaced along with the solenoid and I believe the starter motor.

Our other major issue has been a persistent fresh water system leak from day one. Virtually every joint in the system has been remade each time reducing the leakage to a seep, which is now believed to be the colorifier and this is being replaced next week.

2nd engine control panel failed again today. Let's hope #3 is the last.

Hi Everyone,
Just an update regarding New Posts on this Site.
The administrator has added the model e33 to the boat model line up. Even though the e33 is not the official designation of the new model, it will allow for an easier search for topic related to the new model.

In a nutshell, when creating a new post/topic related to the (e)33, please select that model type from the menu.
