Fellow Hunter owners, newbie here.

Just took delivery and spent my first few nights aboard the new e33. Every minute or so there is a deep humming for about 10 seconds. Seems to only happen when on shore power and is coming from the starboard salon interior. My initial thoughts were the battery charger as it is the only electrical component running throughout the night. My question is; is this normal? And might there be anything I could do to disable whatever is causing it?

Thanks!

Could it be the transformer, if you have one, or battery charger? I replaced my humming transformer on the starboard side aft cabin with a silent galvanic isolator to eliminate that noise.

Agree, it's probably the battery charger. Mine is a distraction for my wife if the batteries are not topped off before we retire. I can hardly hear it but it makes her nuts. I'd hate for you to start swapping chargers or brands. Try leaving it on all day to top off the house bank and see if it still does it. If it does, and you can't live with it, I think it's time to call a marine electrician tech out. Battery chargers hum when working and more so when charging significantly is my experience, but some newer ones (and probably more expensive) may have better noise quality. Good luck and congrads on the new boat!

ditto the charger. it goes off line for a few minutes to check battery "resting" (yes I know MS but I don't know what else to call it) voltage. Then comes back on in float charge mode (or another mode depending on what it measures)
if you turn on a few lights you should be able to get it to stop cycling and confirm that it is the charger.

DItto on charger but if you have refrigeration, it could be the compressor/fan kicking on..

I would have the dealer check things out and maybe they can replace it,I have a freedom inverter/charger and very little noise when working.

Make sure you let us know your overall impresions of the boat, once you get settled in and get on the water a few times.

Found the problem; the dealership installed an inverter for the tv in the salon and thats what was causing such a racket. Seems the fan was on a cycle and damn that thing got hot. I have it turned off now until I need to use the tv off dc power.

Thank you all for the help!

Glad to hear that you have sorted it out. I also will be taking delivery of my e33 towards the end of June (depending if things get sorted out at the factory) I should have taken delivery 2 weeks ago.

Our e33 has a battery charger located in the starboard forward seat storage in the main saloon, which has a cooling fan which when it kicks in is quite noisy.
