Hunter Cabin Door Mechanism

Does anyone know how to remove the door latch mechanism from an interior Door on a hunter 44 or equivalent? I've removed the handles and escutcheon plates as well as the screws holding the unit in the door on the side of the door. There is a tab however for the lock that is preventing the mechanism from sliding out the side. Looks like that tab needs to come off but I have no idea how?

Strange Marc. My door latches are slightly different but the lock actuator does protrude like that and it just pulls out. Check with Phil on this. One of my latches needed replacement a couple years ago and Phil walked me through it.

With that info I was able to tap it rather forcibly, out from the other side. It was pretty mangled so I'll be ordering a new one.
