It's been a long two weeks on the H-54. As you can see the cabin sole is done except for some trim, fastening and polyurethane coating.
We'll start from aft and work forward...

Here's a couple of shot of what we're dealing with after the teak comes off.

Apparently, Hunter didn't get enough resin against the gelcoat and I can reach down and pull fibers out with my fingers.

Much of the forward housetop is soft and will need recored. The side decks are not as bad. Maybe a layer of glass will do the trick.

If you get the whole job you will have work for much of the summer. We have been cleaning and painting in a house that was used and neglected for 8 years. The owners never threw anything out except the garbage. It is very hard to keep from doing work that will suffer when you have to do something else in the same area.

Nah, we'll finish the decks and interior in three weeks. By that time, we'll install and trim Lady J's yanmar, finish her (interior parts, thru hulls, deck hardware, mast glue up, bottom paint and electrical) along with another 44 ribs in Dulce and the fresh water system in Beth. By July 15th I'll be out of work unless I close the Seasmoke deal this Thursday.
