My 1983 Hunter 54, "Impulse", is currently chartered to the Boy Scouts in Maryland for a high adventure sail program. They will be done with the boat on Aug. 10, after which I've decided I may charter her out a few more times, before sailing her back to Florida in October. She sleeps 6-7 (two staterooms, two heads), has air, gen, radar, AC refrig, Trimble GPS, Benmar autopilot, 6-man liferaft, 406 Mhz EPIRB, 120 gals. water, 75 gals. fuel, dodger & bimini, in-boom furling main, 155 genoa, and self-tending staysail. The 54 is a fast, unique boat – only 11’6” in the beam. She draws 6 ft., and her mast is 59'. Hull speed is 9 kts. Engine is a 80 HP Perkins turbo-diesel pushing a 3-blade prop. There is also an 8' inflatable dinghy, which is kept in the "dinghy garage", underneath the cockpit. The transom is of the "sugar scoop" design -- makes for a very nice swim platform. She is presently berthed at Tidewater Marina in Havre de Grace, MD, on the upper Chesapeake Bay (6 hours north of Annapolis). I'd prefer full-week charters, and will consider one-ways.For more information, please e-mail me at ELorgus@AOL.com.Eric Lorguss/v Impulse (83H54)
