Hunter 466 Bow Thruster Installation

Hi All,
I am considering installing a Vetus 125 bow thruster in our Hunter 466. The guy that runs our boat yard told me it wouldn't work because you can't get it low enough in the water. Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation?

Look at an external thruster. I had one put on last year and it works great. Had to go with an external version because of the forward head configuration would not allow a tunnel anywhere close to the bow.
