Hunter 456 12v Dc Separating Solenoid for House Battery

We are upgrading to lithium batteries and need to find the 12v dc engine and house battery charging separating solenoid ie when engine is running it combines the engine and house batteries to charge when the engine is off separates engine and house batteries to run individually without allowing the engine battery to run flat.

There is probably a correct name for it but I’m not sure what it’s called. :)

I have spent hours trying to find it, the Hunter manual describes it as being above the engine, honestly I’m not sure what I’m actually looking at.

Any help would be appreciate.
Cheers

Automatic Charging Relay (ACR). An ACR parallels (combines) batteries during charging, and isolates them when charging has stopped and after battery voltage has fallen.

Depending on year, Hunter and most others used battery isolators - a diode switch commonly referred to as an isolator, to combine/separate batteries.

I’d recommend a close read of Maine Sail’s excellent article at Drop-In LiFePo4- Be an Educated Consumer and some of the other material on his site. I think you’ll find it gives a good overview of the various ways of combining lithium and start banks, and the other considerations for a lithium installation.

It looks like this on my 410, it's behind the wall under my nav table next to the windlass breaker.

It’s a 12v solenoid. Look for a metal can with some heavy gauge wire running from it,
The Blue Seas ACR wasn’t available when your boat was built. This solenoid is activated by the engine key switch
