There is a small wood cover under the chart table that allows access to the nav equipment. Can anyone tell me the size of the cover. It may be the same on other larger Hunter boats
Slipin Away, I have a 2006 Hunter 45 CC, and know exactly what you are talking about, I will be down at our boat today (Monday 11/30/15) and will measure the cover and get back to you. If you want to private message me, I can respond back to you that way. There is a small wood cover under the chart table that allows access to the nav equipment. Sorry about that, it is 11 - inches wide, by 10 - inches high, the grain on mine runs in the vertical direction, up and down. I have sent some pictures of mine, so you can see the dimensions better. Let me know how this project turns out, as I may do the same. Also can you give me the source for the LED light strips, and the controller. You wrote 11 wide by 10 wide. Is the first number the height. I need to know so as to get the grain orientation right. I did an easy project on the boat that turned out to be way cool. I used these led strip lights that come on a roll and mounted the on both sides of the boat under the top lip of the side ports where the curtains are. These have sticky back to hold in place and the strip can be cut to proper length. There are 28 programmable colors, can be dimmed and it is remote controlled. One controller handles both sides individually by pointing it at the proper RF receiver. Each side cost about $8 and really adds a nice effect with little amp draw.
