Hello group. We've just bought a '95 430, and we're replacing all of the wiring and batteries. I'm wondering if anyone has this boat, that has changed the location of the batteries? Cheers

I upgraded the electrical cables on my Hunter 46. PM me and I can provide the details. My batteries are locted in the center of the boat in a civity under the floor. Your batteries are also located in the center of your boat forward of your engine under the floor Hunter_430_88252914.pdf (sailboatowners.com) as shown in the diagram below. If you decide to relocate them, look for a suitable location in the center of the boat so the boat does not list.

Not me on AGM
You should not relocate the House Batteries, because it is vented to prevent Hydrogen Gas build up.
Other reason is easy access and boat Center of Balance.
Also short Runs of DC power cables to your ground Buss
Your Selector Switches are intended to Isolate them from the Start Battery until you start your Engine.
