I am confused on the lineage and evolution of my boat. Let me explain and hopefully someone can help me understand...
For the past 9 months I have been the very proud owner and liveaboard of a boat that I know as a
2003 Hunter 420 Passage Center Cockpit.
The problem I have is understanding the differences (or if there are any) when I see the boat called a Hunter 42 instead of 420, and what the Passage designation signifies. For instance, the Manual I have (and the one available on this site) is for the 420, but the Center Cockpit is not distinguished on the manual.
I am particularly confused when I recently looked up sail diimensions. For instance, when I looked up the I, J, P, E measurements online I found the following:
Hunter Passage 42: 55, 16, 48, 15.5
Hunter Passage 420: 47.75, 16.16, 45.5, 19.25
Hunter Passage 42CC: 55, 16, 48, 15.5
I would appreciate any help in understanding these various designations?
