We are considering trading in our 2003 Hunter 356 for a larger boat. We've narrowed down the selection to a new Hunter 41 AC or a New (2005) Hunter 44 AC. We like both boats and have sailed on a newer 41 and have really enjoyed it. The 44 offers more room and a centerline aft stateroom, but gives up storage in the forward stateroom as compared to the 41. Would be interested in what owners have to say. Also would like to hear from 44 owners on boat performance and handling.

Thanks Bob

Bob That's the type of feedback we are looking for. My wife and I are starting to think retirement and really would appreciate a larger boat. We like to go coastal cruising usually with another couple and our pooch "Sailor" I see you sail out of Stamford. I work in Stamford, short walk to the marina's but we keep the boat in the Mystic area. Thanks for the pics and yes Don, I am walking again and do need to make up for lost time. We were out in 25 kn winds last weekend and that may have been the last outing of the season. Hope the family is well.

I moved from a Hunter 336 to a 44ac

We were initially looking at a 41 before we decided to buy our 44. I made the "mistake" of taking my wife and kids to look at a 41 and it just happened to be sitting next to a 44ac. We spent about 2 hours going back and forth between the 2 boats and finally decided that we had to have the 44. We have not regretted the decision and have been VERY happy with our purchase. We were on a 41 recently and it reaffirmed for us that we had made the right choice. Although only a couple of feet bigger, it seems to have a lot more room.

44DS

We just came off of a two year search to upgrade our 33 Cape Dory to a larger boat for retirement. After everything was said and done, we purchased a 44DS. It offered a lot of performance and living space for the dollar. Its not a perfect cruising boat, but we hope that time and money will cure that fault. Mike
