1994 Hunter 40.5. (Sorry I don't have any pictures of the damage)
I have some hull damage (small indentation about 2") on the starboard side about the area just behind the aft head vanity cabinet about 17 inches below the hull/deck joint. (The plastic or fiberglass cabinets with the mirrors that fold down above the sink in the aft head) This looks to be right behind that cabinet.
It looks like it may be able to be removed but I'm not sure. Has anyone ever removed this cabinet and if so how do you accomplish this. I see some screws on both sides as well as caulking along the top and bottom. If I can remove the cabinets it will be a lot easier to get to the area from the inside for the repair.
If there is room back there I am thinking about installing a 2 1/2 inch throughhull and use it for a high capacity bilge pump. That way I could avoid trying to match the gelcoat color and kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks in advance.
