Hello all my wife and I just bought a Hunter 39 - just picked up last weekend - and everything looks almost brand new...except the tv will not work. My son (13) was very disappointed. My thought was to just leave it because I didn't buy a boat to go out and watch tv but mom and son overruled. Anyway I have a new tv but was wondering if anyone can tell me how to remove the old one? Like I said haven't spent much time looking. Does it just pull out? Is there an access in the v-berth? Going down there this afternoon so I am interested to have an idea before I tear something up. Thanks!!!!

Welcome to the SBO forum TrickyRick and Family.
Perhaps your family does not understand. It looks like a TV but really it is a navigational display. Used to project your location and route on thte wall for all to see. You know like the one in airplanes that help you know where you are and when you are going to land.

Disassembling the cabinets in your new boat to get at the TV seems a bit of a "to new to boat challenge". Perhaps an iPad or a Laptop might serve to deal with the separation from home comforts while you ease the family members into the beauty of being on a boat and a part of the ocean world.

Reading the link from 2010 on the 4 screws to remove then wiggle and waggle the cabinet free, sounds a little to easy.

There is a resource right here at SBO that may be of assistance. Use the phone number in shop section of the site to contact SBO. There you cna speak with one of the former employees who worked on the boats. He may know a trick or two to make your project easy.

Thanks guys I really did use the search function but when it came up with 48+ pages I thought is would just be easier to ask. Anyone have tips on narrowing the search engine down?

Advance search option might be a place to start. Putting your query words in quotes will influence the search engine.
