Hi!

I'm looking to buy an inline fuel shut off valve for filter changes. I'm curious if anyone knows top-of-head the manufacturer fuel line size for the 1996 Hunter 376 / Yanmar 3JH2E build. I'm assuming it's either 1/4" or 5/16" but I don't see any markings on the fuel lines themselves and am not finding anything in the manuals/documentation that I have on hand (and, of course, I'm not at the boat to disassemble anything and measure). There are lots of forum posts discussing sizing choices when installing new lines, but I'm not seeing any posts about the OEM size.

Thanks!
Doug

There should be a shut off valve at the fuel tank.

You are correct, and that is what I am currently using when filters need changing. However, with the fuel tank under the aft locker it means I need to empty a bunch of gear to access the shut off. It's not world ending, but $15 for an inline valve just before the filter feels like an easy way somewhat simplify an annoying task.
